Dissection: Tracking Media Impact (NYC and DC sessions in April 2014)

DISSECTION is an on-going project developed by the Center for Investigative Reporting (CIR), the nation’s largest non-profit investigative reporting organization. This spring, our Futures Forum project will partner with CIR to present a pair of two-day “media impact seminars.”

These sessions will ask: What is impact?  How does impact become manifest in an information saturated culture? And most important, Dissection logowe will move beyond discussion to identify a set of technologies and practices that can be applied, now, to track and document impact for public media producers.

The sessions will be held on April 14-15 in New York, and April 17-18 in Washington, D. C.

Details and registration information will be available shortly.

Previous sessions of the Dissection series have been supported by The Ford Foundation, The Knight Foundation, and the Center for Collaborative Journalism at Mercer University.
